Impacted Earwax: Causes, Symptoms and How to Clear It

Impacted Earwax: Causes, Symptoms and How to Clear It

Impacted Earwax: What It Is and How to Deal With It If your ears have been feeling blocked, itchy, or oddly muffled lately, impacted earwax could be the reason. It's one of the most common ear complaints pharmacists see, and it's also one of the easiest to manage once you understand what's going on. Here's what causes it, how to spot it, and how CleanEars can help. What Is Impacted Earwax? Earwax, or cerumen, is a normal and useful part of how your ears protect themselves. It traps dust and bacteria and usually makes its own way out. Impacted earwax happens when it builds up faster than it clears, hardens, and forms a blockage in the ear canal. It's uncomfortable, common, and nothing to feel embarrassed about. Signs of Earwax Buildup Impacted earwax can show up differently from person to person, but the usual signs include: A feeling of fullness or pressure in the ear Muffled or reduced hearing Mild earache or ringing in the ear (tinnitus) An itchy sensation Occasionally dizziness. If you're using earbuds or hearing aids often, you might notice these symptoms creeping in gradually rather than all at once. What Causes Impacted Earwax? A few everyday habits and factors make earwax buildup more likely. Cotton buds are a big one — rather than removing wax, they tend to push it further into the ear canal, packing it down. Regular use of earphones, earplugs, or hearing aids can also block the natural, gradual movement of wax out of the ear. Some people simply produce more earwax than others, and naturally narrow or curved ear canals can make it harder for wax to clear on its own. Age plays a role too, as earwax tends to become drier and harder to shift later in life. How CleanEars Helps CleanEars is BioRevive's earwax removal spray, designed to make clearing impacted earwax straightforward at home. It works by softening built-up wax so it can move out of the ear canal naturally, rather than sitting there causing discomfort. No syringes, no picking, no guesswork — just a simple spray as part of your regular routine. It's the kind of product BioRevive is known for: an everyday health problem, met with a simple, no-fuss solution you can pick up at the pharmacy.  A Simple Fix for a Common Problem Impacted earwax is uncomfortable, but it's also one of the most manageable ear health issues out there. Knowing the signs, understanding what's causing it, and having a trusted go-to solution like CleanEars on hand makes all the difference. That's the idea behind BioRevive: from blocked ears, to mouth ulcers and dry eyes, quality products you know you can trust.  If symptoms persist, please cease use and consult a healthcare professional. Always read the label and follow the directions for use.

AO 2020 Visit

AO 2020 Visit

The Melbourne based BioRevive office spent Day 3 of the Australian Open at the Tennis! As a cultural/sporting outing for the team, we also visited our key retail partner Chemist Warehouse’s on-site activation which was a real Chemist Warehouse store as a part of their sponsorship agreement with the Australia Open. In addition to visiting the store, we also got to enjoy the atmosphere, aperols and see some great tennis. We had the pleasure of catching most of the very close match between American Tennys Sandgren and Italian Matteo Berrettini 7-6, 6-4, 4-6, 4-6, 7-5. Sandgren went all the way to the Quarter finals in the tournament to be beaten by world #3 Rodger Federer.
